What has Munson been doing lately?

Working our afts off!!!   Here’s a first look at our most recent deliveries.  Check back periodically to see the latest and greatest from Munson Boats.

26-58 Utility

New York Power Authority operates this 26’ Munson as utility boat for the Niagara Power Project, New York State’s biggest electricity producer. The large walk through cabin incorporates seating for 4 personnel. Additional outfitting includes a tow post, engine guard, push knees, side boarding door and Simrad radar / plotter / sounder. Ice belt doubler plates were welded to the lower portion of the hull for winter operations.

36-16 Fire

BP Cherry Point is the largest refinery in the Pacific Northwest. The refinery is supplied mainly by tankers transporting North Slope crude oil from Alaska.  This 36’ Munson is outfitted for both fire/rescue as well as oil spill response.  A Hale 1500 GPM fire pump is plumbed to a rooftop monitor and bow monitor.  A Northern Lights 12kW generator has a hydraulic PTO to run portable oil skimmers. 

28-72 Patrol

Lake Havasu Police selected this 28’ Packman as a patrol and dive/rescue vessel.  Outfitting includes port and starboard dive doors, dive bottle racks, 500 lb. lifting davit and bow door dive ladder.  A large canvas bimini top provides excellent shade protection during hot days. 

23-38 Patrol

California Dept. of Fish & Wildlife operates several Munson Boats including a pair of these well outfitted 23’ patrol boats.  The console T-top is enclosed with canvas and includes two Shox 6300 suspension seats and laptop docking station.  Additional outfitting includes a Garmin navigation electronics, Kenwood police radio, Whelen 50” lightbar, search light, tow post, motor guard, side dive door and dive ladder.

25-20 Sport

This nicely finished 25’ Munson is used to comfortably transport her owners and guests to and from their island home.  The cabin is outfitted with seating for 6 persons, cabin heater, Fusion stereo with subwoofer and a porta-potti.  Additional options include a side boarding door, dive ladder, 6 rod holders and downrigger mounts. Dual Garmin navigation displays, a Flir 364 infrared camera and Zipwake dynamic trim interceptors complete the package.

32-50 Research

The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse selected this 32’ Packcat R/V Prairie Springs for the UWL River Studies Center, bringing together students and faculty from a variety of programs to work on freshwater challenges in partnership with state and federal organizations.  Specialized outfitting includes a gear driven Universal Sonar Mount for deploying high power transducers, wet lab with fresh and raw water faucets, and moon pool on the forward deck for deploying scientific equipment.  

34-52 Dive

The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Dive Unit selected this 34’ Packcat for use with underwater robotics, search & recovery and protection of maritime infrastructure.  A 16 kW generator provides power to ROV’s, computers and dual rooftop air conditioners. The Suzuki 350 outboards are installed with Optimus 360 joystick controls, providing station hold capabilities during ROV and dive ops.  Additional outfitting includes Shox 2000 suspension seats, Webatso forced air cabin heater, tinted windows, black out window shades, davit with 12V winch, tow post, and engine guard. 

35-18 Utility

Kootenai County Parks & Waterways oversees and maintains 44,000 navigable acres of water and 25 docking facilities in Northern Idaho.  Their 35’ Munson is equipped with a Maxilift M.150 hydraulic crane for maintaining navigation buoys and anchors.  A portable skid mounted 500 GPM pump with monitor is used for firefighting operations.

30-56 Fire

Montgomery County ESD 1 is responsible for fire/rescue and emergency response operations on Lake Conroe, a 22,000 acre lake with 157 miles of shoreline.  Their 30’ Munson fire/rescue boat includes a Hale Attack Max 500 GPM fire pump with bow monitor and hose discharges, tow post, engine guard, dive ladder, Whelen LED light bar, search light, dual Humminbird Helix 12 displays and triple axle trailer.

32-30 Sport

Ocean Lure Charters operates the 32’ Dayna Joy as a six pack charter boat.  Special features include a bow control station, large underdeck fish hold and freshwater  washdown system.  The walk through cabin incorporates seating for six passengers, head compartment, galley with sink, Webatso forced air cabin heater and Fusion stereo.  Garmin navigation electronics are installed at the pilot and co-pilot stations.

36-15 Water Taxi

Island Opportunity Charters in Bellingham, WA, offers water taxi and freight services in the San Juan Islands with a USCG-certified 36′ Munson boat. It can carry 12 passengers and 3500 lbs of freight on the forward deck. It’s ideal for heavy loads and rough waters while ensuring passenger and crew safety and comfort.

32-48 Fire

James City County Fire Department in Virginia has chosen a 32′ Munson fire boat to enhance their firefighting and search and rescue capabilities. The boat includes a Darley fire pump, TFT monitor, cabin with heating and air conditioning, Raymarine displays, FLIR thermal imaging camera, and twin Suzuki engines with joystick piloting and hydraulic jack plates for shallow water operations.

30-55 Sport

M/V High End Hooker is a first class sport fishing machine. The cabin has a large galley, overnight accommodations and head compartment with shower. The aft cockpit incorporates 2 fish holds, downriggers, tackle storage and cleaning station. The bow is outfitted with a Maxilift M110 deck crane with Hydro-Slave pot puller. Additional outfitting includes a 12V anchor windlass, side boarding door, SeaDek flooring and vinyl hull wrap.
