We recognize that the same boat isn’t ideal for all fire & rescue applications. Therefore, every Munson fire and rescue boat is built to order and fully outfitted with all of the necessary features and specifications that are exactly right for the duties it will be expected to perform. Gainesville, GA: Hall County Fire Services protects over 600 miles of shoreline of Lake Sidney Lanier, the most visited Corps of Engineers lake in the United States with an estimated 10 million visitors a year. Their 23’ Munson rescue boat is outfitted with a side dive door, dive ladder, bottle racks, bow lights, 20 LED roof perimeter lights, Simrad NSS 12 radar, plotter, sounder with chirp transducer and HDI Skimmer transducer. A tandem axle trailer completes the package.

Southport, NC: The Sunny Point Fire Department operates this Munson as a fire and rescue boat. Capabilities include dive support and ATV transport. A 4" pickup installed in the hull allows crews to operate a removable fire pump.

Concord, CA: Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) is the primary West Coast ammunition terminal for the US Military. The Concord Federal Fire Dept. selected this 24’ Munson for fire/rescue operations along its 5 miles of shoreline. A Munson “Fire Ant” self-contained skid mounted 500 GPM fire pump was provided to allow the fire pump system to be quickly removed/installed on the main deck when needed. Additional outfitting includes side dive doors, 2 dive ladders, tow post, engine guard and trailer.

Lemont, IL: The CITGO Lemont Refinery Emergency Response Team operates this Munson as an oil spill response boat in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal. Boat was built to pass through an invasive species barrier located near the refinery. Grand Prairie, TX: The Grand Prairie Fire Department has been in existence for over 100 years. Their 26’ Munson fire/rescue boat is used on Joe Pool Lake, a large reservoir located just south of Dallas. Anacortes, WA: Tesoro’s Anacortes Refinery receives crude oil via pipeline from Canada, by rail from North Dakota and by tanker from Alaska. The facility delivers refined products through its marine terminal via ships and barges. Their 30’ Munson Emergency Response Vessel was built as a spill response and fire boat. Lake Powell, AZ: The Glen Canyon National Park Service responds to an average of 20 boat fires and 15 fuel spills a year. Staged at Wahweap Marina, the NPS fireboat is the primary resource for protecting the fuel docks, harbors and boats on Lake Powell. The fire pump system consists of a Darley LSE 1000 single stage pump feeding dual bow monitors. A foam system feeding a Hale H583 eductor can be fitted to any of the vessel's 2.5" water discharges. Boone County, KY: Boone County (KY) Civil Defense program, is a group of 49 dedicated volunteers who work more than 12,000 hours annually in water rescue activities. Triple ETEC's put up a top speed of 51mph ensuring quick response times. A roof mounted umbilical winch and towing davit assist crew members in performing bottom scans. A 500 gpm fire system and extensive EMT outfitting ensure that the team at Boone County Water Rescue is ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Blaine, WA: BP Cherry Point is the largest refinery in the Pacific Northwest. The refinery is supplied mainly by tankers transporting North Slope crude oil from Alaska. This 36’ Munson is outfitted for both fire/rescue as well as oil spill response. A Hale 1500 GPM fire pump is plumbed to a rooftop monitor and bow monitor. A Northern Lights 12kW generator has a hydraulic PTO to run portable oil skimmers. The large heated cabin includes seating for 8 persons, head compartment, microwave and convertible settee for transporting insured patients. Twin Yamaha 425’s are installed with Yamaha’s Helmmaster EX joystick piloting system with dynamic positioning capability. A 12V bow thruster and Flir infrared camera complete the package.

Stockton, CA: The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Boating Safety Unit operates 365 days a year, providing law enforcement services to residents living on the 700+ miles of rivers and waterways. Tampa, FL: Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, located in west-central Florida, protects approximately 250 square miles of water. Included in this response area is Port Tampa Bay, the largest and most industrial port in Florida. HCFR’s new 38’ Munson Packcat Type IV fireboat provides Fire Suppression, CBRNE Detection, and Emergency Medical Services to the Tampa Bay Maritime Community. Quad 250hp Yamaha outboards ensure a quick response to emergencies on the area’s vast waterways. The Duramax Diesel/Hale firepump will pump over 3,000 gallons per minute to the TFT electric roof monitor and twin Akron Brass bow monitors. The boat is also equipped with a Cummins/Onan 7.5 kw generator and two Dometic roof mounted air conditioners. Steering is accomplished thru SeaStar’s Optimus 360 joystick controls which provides automated station holding and precise maneuvering at low speeds. The cabin is well outfitted with a Pilot Station, Fire Control Station, Command/Control Station, EMS Bench, and a Head Compartment.

San Diego, CA: San Diego Lifeguards are one of the largest professional lifeguard services in the United States. They are responsible for all fire, medical, and emergency services for 17 miles of coastline extending 3 miles offshore. This 38’ Munson Packcat Type IV fireboat was selected by the Lifeguards to enable quick response to waterborne emergencies. The cabin is equipped with four SHOX suspension seats, EMS bench with integrated SCBA bottle rack, refrigerator, head compartment and fresh water wash down. The main deck is outfitted with 3 dive ladders, side dive door, SCUBA tank racks, tow post, and heavy duty non-skid. A Hale 3000 GPM diesel fire pump with 50 gallon foam tank can supply 3,000 gallons per minute to the TFT electric roof monitor and twin bow monitors. Quad Yamaha 250 outboards are controlled with SeaStar’s Optimus 360 joystick controls which provides automated station holding and precise maneuvering at low speeds.
